About

Years ago I completed an arty fashion degree, immersing myself in projects like making a skirt out an old doona and designing clothes based on 'Choose Your Own Adventure: Survival at Sea', a kids book I picked up at an op shop with the most amazing illustrations.

Now, amidst working as a primary school teacher and living in Perth, I continue to be inspired by quirkiness, nostalgia and fashion, from old houses, delis and faded Coke signs to op-shop finds. I write creative non-fiction fashion articles for this blog, trawl op-shops, sew clothes, and take photos of all sorts of retro and random things.

My current list of dream op-shop finds includes a Review dress in my size, a bubble skirt and a Ken Done t-shirt.

*You should know references to eighties clothing may feature heavily on this blog.
